Days 1, 2 & 3
You’ll begin your journey with a flight from Lusaka International Airport to Tafika Camp in South Luangwa. The Tafika team will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to camp.
Tafika places a strong emphasis on walking safaris, though game drives are also available. We recommend beginning each day with a morning walk, followed by a late afternoon game drive. Enjoy your time in this rich ecosystem, known for its leopards, elephants, and vibrant birdlife.
Days 4 & 5
On the morning of Day 4, you’ll take a charter flight to Mwaleshi Camp in North Luangwa—a short journey of about an hour. Mwaleshi is located deep in the wilderness and is completely unfenced, offering an authentic bush experience with a focus on walking safaris.
As at Tafika, we recommend a walk in the morning and a drive in the afternoon. You will stay at Mwaleshi for two nights, experiencing the raw, untouched beauty of North Luangwa.
Days 6 & 7
On the morning of Day 6, after breakfast, you’ll be transferred by road to Classic Zambia’s North Luangwa Camp, located in a different region of the park, deeper in the heart of the Rhino Sanctuary.
Spend the next two nights enjoying a new landscape and tracking wildlife in this exclusive area—one of Zambia’s best-kept secrets.
Days 8, 9 & 10
After your seventh night, on the morning of Day 8, you will take a charter flight to Musekese Camp in Northern Kafue, where you’ll stay for three nights. This marks a transition to a completely different ecosystem, offering new terrain, wildlife, and activities.
On the day of arrival, we recommend a boat cruise to unwind and take in the scenery. On Day 9, a morning walk followed by a night drive will allow for a variety of wildlife encounters. The remaining program will be flexible, allowing you to tailor each day’s activities with your hosts.
Day 11
Following an early breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Lilai Lodge, where you’ll enjoy your final evening. Dine alfresco under the stars, and enjoy the lodge’s fine selection of wines and signature cuisine as a perfect conclusion to your adventure.
Day 12
On the morning of Day 12, we will transfer you to Lusaka International Airport, or, if you wish to extend your journey, we can seamlessly transition you into another itinerary elsewhere in Zambia.
